The gel pens work well. I tried them both for general writing and for coloring. The colors are fun and they come with some solid colors, some neon, and some glitter pens too. When you write with the neon and glitter, you can really notice it! When I used these for drawing, they worked great. They write thicker than a typical pen but glide on the paper. It was really fun and worked really well. However, when I used it for general writing, it didn't work as well. The pen gel did not always come out and left some letters with missing portions that I had to go back and re-write until the ink came through. With that said, I will mainly be using these pens for drawing so I still like them very much! :)
