I received this game free to test and review. I work with special educational children, so I thought this might be a fun game to play with them to work on their skills! So many children have a hard time with emotions, so I was really excited about this. The cards are very thick and durable, so you don't have to really worry about younger kids bending the cards. It does come with directions but it is a super simple game. There are 20 emotions and 2 cards for each emotion (so 40 total cards). You just flip over the cards and try to get a match. You can have conversations about the emotions as they flip them over or make a match! Some of the emotions are not super clear (especially for younger kids). However, I've purchased other emotion sets and this is always what I find. Either way, it provides opportunities for discussion. The instructions also outline ways in which you can facilitate these conversations. Overall, its a nice basic game that does make the kids think!
