I signed up, took a survey for my candy preferences, and then was able to select 3 candies from a list of candies that I may like based off my result. I selected 3 candies I liked (sour bears, gummy dinos, and sweet candy ducks). I submitted this and then wanted to go back and select another candy but I guess it submitted the order and the website got all weird. I think I may have missed a page or two, but it's good to know that after this page, your order is finalized. I got an email about my order, so thats how I knew it went through. It said it should come in 3-5 days and it ended up coming in 4 days. I read online that this box comes with a loose candy, but I didn't remember choosing one so I was confused. Maybe that was on the page I skipped or maybe it is randomly chosen. Anyways, when it arrived, I saw the 3 jars of the candy I ordered and one loose red, white, and blue mint candy (perfect for the Fourth of July).
So how did they taste? The mint was good and tasted like a normal thicker mint. The sweet candy ducks were tasty, nothing spectacular but good. I liked that they were smaller so I could eat just a few if I wanted to. The gummy dinos upset my stomach a lot. As soon as I put one in my mouth, my brain told me to not eat them, but I ignored it and chewed and swallowed one. I was with friends who also tried these candies and one friend said the gummy dinos with green tasted super good, so I decided to give them another chance and taste a green one. Once again, same experience yet I ate it. I ended up having an upset stomach for a few hours after. However, what redeemed this experience were the sour gummy bears. They were SO squishy, sour, and TASTY. They were the tastiest gummy bears I have ever had. Will be buying them again somehow. I ended up giving the entire jar of gummy dinos to my friend, who has been enjoying them. Not sure why I had such a bad reaction to them, but I'm listening to my brain and not eating them.
Overall, not sure if I think it's worth in the $30-40 dollar range a month (depending on your subscription). I think it may just be better picking up some candy at the store when you get groceries or what not. I think I could get the same amount of candy for about half the price at the store. Also, you have to cancel by calling them on the phone, which was fine. They were very friendly when I went to cancel, but it is important to note that you can't email or do anything online (I did ask), you ONLY can cancel if you call. Anywho, my experience overall was fine. Maybe 3/5 Stars if I had to rate it.
