General observations:
-For the most part, product is as described
- Comes with User Manual (7 small pages, equivalent to about one normal page of information)
-Small product (4.9”x 4.6”x 2.1”)
-Lightweight (7 ounces)
Pros:
-Easy to install
-Well-charged after 6 hours of afternoon sun
-For such a small light, the LEDs really do generate an impressive amount of light on Bright mode
-Good motion sensor
-I don’t know how long the light will stay illuminated based on one charge, but it meets my needs (user manual said the light stays on for 10 seconds, but I counted the duration and it stayed on for 30 seconds. Since this is a solar-powered light, this timing seems reasonable to me.
Cons: [all have to do with user manual]
-Page 3 of the User Manual makes vague reference to the three operating modes: 1) Always on Bright, 2) Always on Dim and only on Bright when sensor detects motions, and 3) Off and only on Bright when sensor detects motions. However, does not explain how to switch modes. I tried fiddling with it for around 30 minutes and was never successful. There is only one user control (the on/off pin hole switch) and after trying all the normal steps (double press, triple press, etc.), the light seemed to only had two modes (Always OFF and #3).
-User Manual also contains several errors in the figure that shows the components of the product (e.g. the figure refers to the LED light panel as the “PIR motion inductor”, the PIR motion sensor as the “On/Off Switch hole”, and the solar panel as the “screw”).
Overall comments:
Whereas the product itself is quite good, the User Manual is very poor quality (and possibly even wrong if there is only one operating mode). If the user manual gets corrected, I would have no complaints because the product works well. I am overall satisfied with this product!
